Finalist IT Group second place in contest Development Tools 2006 |
 The Ruby On Rails Team of Finalist IT Group has accomplished the second place in the contest Development Tools 2006.
Managing Director Jean-Luc van Hulst: "I would like to thank our Ruby-team members Remco van 't Veer and Michiel de Mare for their excellent performance. Ruby On Rails initiated a true revolution in the field of RAD (Rapid Application Development). Ruby On Rails framework (based on the scripting language Ruby) brings back the 'fun' into application development".
Finalist has planned several 1-day-Ruby-training sessions in The Netherlands to give experienced (Java or PHP) software developers a unique opportunity to learn more about this revolutionary tool.
Development Tools 2006 (formerly known as RAD Race), is not just a contest for developing applications as fast as you can. It's also a serious showcase, evaluation and analysis of the development tools that are used by the participating teams. The RAD Race is an annual event since 1991. The event was organized by Software Release Magazine.
